Cancellation Policy
(Including Missed Appointments and Lateness)
Due to the significantly increasing number of missed appointments and tardiness, I am now requiring that sessions be paid for in advance of the session, and I am fully enforcing the below cancellation policy.
24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:
Clients will not be charged for a cancellation if it is made more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will forfeit your pre-paid appointment fee with no refund.
Clients who simply do not show up for a scheduled appointment will forfeit their pre-paid appointment fee and no refund will be issued. Arguing that a ‘missed appointment’ is not a ‘cancellation’ and therefore I don’t have a ‘missed appointment policy’ is BS and will guarantee that your appointment fee will not be refunded.
This cancellation policy is standard and will be strictly enforced. I understand there are often unforeseeable circumstances that cause missed appointments, and I have never charged a client with a legitimate reason. Not being able to get your shit together is not a legitimate reason.
LATENESS POLICY:
It is my policy to wait for clients for 15 minutes beyond their scheduled appointment time, after which time I assume the client is not showing to their pre-scheduled appointment. In such a case, the client will forfeit their appointment and no refund will be issued.
The only exception is that if you call to inform me of your lateness, then we can discuss how late and what time restrictions we have (i.e., booked sessions after yours, etc.) and decide what is the best way to move forward. If you do not call, it is considered a missed appointment and no refund will be given.
While you may not respect me or my time, I do respect my clients and their time. Your lateness or missed appointment is not just about you, as it has an impact on all of my clients for the remainder of the day, including other practitioners at my studio space, as we all work together to coordinate our appointments. While you may not understand why I am being so ‘uptight’ about giving you some extra time to make up for your tardiness, I am setting a boundary to respect my other clients and the other practitioners that use the space.
